Movie Recommendation

I just saw the saddest, most heart-wrenching movie ever: Never Let Me Go. It's a delicate love story with a bit of a science-fiction twist, and never has any film moved me so much. It's easily the most original romance I have ever come across and I'm going to watch it over and over again.
A thought-provoking, hauntingly beautiful tale of friendship, science, and human existence, the movie is based on the novel of the same name by celebrated booker-prize winning author, Kazuo Ishiguro. Never Let Me Go was in fact shortlisted for the booker prize too. I've just downloaded the eBook and can't wait to read it because I'm sure that it will prove even better than the film.
If you download movies, you absolutely MUST get it. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. It's become my top favorite and I have a feeling it will stay so for a long, long time. Kudos to the author for coming up with such a brilliant and one-of-a-kind tale that blends romance and science, truth and fiction, with such utter simplicity and sheer eloquence.

BEHOLD!!! Those who haven't seen this movie SHOULD NOT read any further.

I finally saw the movie this morning. The idea of human clones being used to extend the lives of their 'originals' isn't new. Movies such as 'The Island' and 'The Sixth Day' have the same theme, but 'Never Let Me Go' seems far more real and believable than the previous movies I mentioned.

It was kind of bewildering to see the state of helplessness the clones were in. I mean it looked like as if the World had just accepted them clones as sacrificial lambs in their quest for longevity. Nobody was doing anything to stop it. And this is why it's so haunting. I would hate to see something like this happening 15/20 years from now. It's just awful to say the least.

This movie was really thought provoking. If in the future any anti human cloning protest ever happens in my city then I'll surely join it.

Thank you and tc.

Damn! The guy 'Tommy' in the movie is the same actor who was there in 'The Social Network' and Boy A.

Have u seen 'Boy A'? If you haven't then please do watch it.

I'm beginning to like this actor.

@ all, thank u for reading and do watch it.
@ laddu, i think you meant someone's gonna get real 'hurt'. haha
@ Kazuma, yes, 'Tommy' is super cute. Will definitely watch boy A. and yes, it was the nuanced way that the helplessness and plight of the 'clones' is depicted in NLMG that touched my heart. also, the way they show the operation being done and the 'clones' dying (i.e. Rurth and Tommy) - it is completely cold and cruel. my heart went out to the character of Kathy. it was like even after her life having some meaning, it all came down to a sense of pointlessness even though saving the 'humans' is supposed to be a noble thing or something. i had never thought about this ethical side of cloning so much but after watching this movie, i am definitely against it.
